This is from a new series of themed oil sketches, entitled “Evergreen Impressions” where I will be exploring variations of lighting, color and atmosphere on evergreen trees. Oil sketches or studies are often done quickly to capture the essence of a subject and therefore do not have the finished feel of a more detailed painting.
